Bring healing into real life

You don't have to relive everything to heal.

A lot of people put off therapy because they think they have to understand it all first, or retell the worst parts out loud. You do not. Most clients start with a pile of symptoms, a quiet disconnection, or the sense that something is off, and that is enough. We slow things down, listen to what your system has been carrying, and work with both your mind and your body so you feel steadier over time.

If any of this feels familiar, therapy can help.

You have done talk therapy or inner work and still feel stuck.

You feel on edge, numb, or exhausted, even when life looks fine.

You shut down in conflict, then feel ashamed that you could not speak.

Long-term trauma has manifested into pain throughout your body.

You keep ending up in the same relationship patterns.

Your sleep is light, restless, or never quite restorative.

Food, body image, or perfectionism has become stressful.

Grief or loss changed you, and life has not felt the same since.

When your body has been in survival mode for too long, these make sense. They are not signs you are broken. They are signs your system adapted to a world that did not meet your needs. Therapy helps you come back to yourself.

What is Trauma-Informed Mind-Body Integration Therapy?

Friends laying in the grass experiencing joy through social interaction

Trauma-informed therapy understands how trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. Instead of asking “what is wrong with you,” we ask “what happened, and what did your system learn to survive?”

Mind-body integration is the body-based side of that work. We still talk and make meaning. We also pay attention to what is happening in your body in real time, because stress and trauma do not only live in your thoughts. They live in the nervous system. In session, we practice regulation, like breathing, grounding, and gentle movement, so you can feel the shift and take it with you.

Deeper processing comes after safety, not before. We move at a pace your system can handle, and we build tools you can use outside the therapy room, so progress shows up in your daily life and not just in conversation.

PTSD and trauma
Flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, startle response, or feeling on edge even when you are safe.

Chronic stress and burnout
You are functional, and you are running on fumes.

Anxiety
Racing heart, tight chest, stomach drops, restless sleep, constant tension.

Sleep issues and nighttime spirals
Trouble falling asleep, waking up wired, stress dreams, or feeling exhausted no matter how much you rest.

Shutdown, numbness, and dissociation
You go blank, you disconnect, or you disappear inside yourself when things get hard.

Grief and loss
Loss can live in the body as heaviness, fatigue, irritability, numbness, or the feeling that life is not landing the way it used to.

People pleasing and over functioning
You say yes when you mean no. You manage everyone else’s emotions. You stay in control because letting go feels unsafe.

Trauma linked chronic pain or chronic illness stress
Your body is carrying more than a diagnosis can explain, and it is affecting mood, energy, and capacity.

Health habits that feel hard to sustain
You know what would help, but your system fights it. We work with the nervous system piece that makes habits feel impossible.

Body image and disordered eating patterns
Food, control, and self criticism become the place your stress lands.

Complex or developmental trauma
Old experiences shaped how you attach, trust, and protect yourself now.

Feeling blocked, stuck, or shut down inside
Some people describe this as being disconnected from themselves, unable to access emotion, or feeling like something is “stuck” in the body even when they cannot explain it. We keep this grounded and practical, focusing on nervous system safety and body awareness.

Three Types of Trauma

Trauma is not one thing, and it does not look the same for everyone. Knowing the type can help your own experience make more sense.

Acute trauma

A single overwhelming event, like an accident, an assault, a loss, or a medical emergency. The effects can hit right away or surface much later.

Chronic trauma

Symptoms that linger long after the event is over. Your mind knows you are safe now. Your body has not caught up yet.

Complex trauma

Repeated harm over time, often in childhood and in relationships you relied on, shapes how you trust and protect yourself now.

Why Complex Trauma is Often Missed

Complex trauma, sometimes called complex PTSD or C-PTSD, has been recognized by the World Health Organization in the ICD-11 for years. The DSM-5, the manual used across the United States, still does not list it as its own diagnosis. Because of that gap, complex trauma is often mistaken for something else, like bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder.

It can also look like ADHD or autism, and it can show up as disordered eating, addiction, or other patterns. Often these are the nervous system doing its best to regulate and feel safe. None of this is a diagnosis, and only a clinician who knows you can sort it out with you. But if you have felt misunderstood by past care, there may be a reason, and there is a way forward.

We treat trauma at the root, using approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and somatic, body based therapy. Here is a plain look at how each one helps.

Tools We May Integrate

There is no single right tool for trauma. Your therapist blends approaches based on what your system needs, and explains the why as you go. These are the ones we reach for most.

Trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. We work gently with what your nervous system is holding, at a pace it can handle, so calm becomes something you feel and not just something you understand. You leave with body based tools you can use on your own.

A proven way to process painful memories without retelling the whole story. We build safety first, then help those memories lose their grip, so they stop shaping how you feel in the present.

You are not broken, and no part of you is bad. We help you meet your protective parts with curiosity instead of judgment, and ease the ones that have carried too much for too long, so you feel more whole and more like yourself.

Grounded, ethical support for clients preparing for or making sense of a consciousness expanding experience. We help you set intentions, stay safe, and turn insight into lasting change, all within a licensed therapeutic relationship.

The story you were handed about yourself is not the only one. We help you step back from it and start authoring one that fits who you actually are, with you as the expert on your own life.

Some feelings cannot be forced away, and fighting them often makes them louder. We help you make room for what is hard while taking steady steps toward what matters most to you.

A gentle, body aware layer for clients who want it, always kept grounded and practical. We follow your lead and never push anything that does not feel right for you.

Support that is honest, practical, and free of judgment. We meet you where you are and focus on safety, choice, and changes that are sustainable for your real life, not an all or nothing ideal.

About Rogue Holistic Therapy

Why work with us?

“Healing comes from within. We are just tools that help get you there” - Coriann

Rogue Holistic Therapy was built for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or tired of carrying things alone, even if they cannot fully explain why. Some people come in knowing their history. Some just know their body does not feel safe, and life feels harder than it could. When it supports your goals, we may also integrate EMDR therapy as part of your work.

We take a steady, trauma informed approach that is practical and body based. We help you understand what is happening in your nervous system, and we give you tools you can use outside of therapy, not just things to talk about inside it.

We also keep a clear goal. Therapy helps move you forward. We are not here to “fix” you. We are here to support you while you build safety, strength, and real change in your day-to-day life. Providing you with tools you can use independently when ready.

How Transformations Happen

01

Safety + Understanding

Learn how stress and trauma shape the brain and nervous system, and map what causes escalation with language that feels clear and non-shaming.

02

Awareness + Regulation

Practice noticing early signs in the body, connecting sensations to emotions, and developing tools to help the system return to balance.

03

Processing + Integration

Using trauma methods that don’t require retelling everything, we focus on changing old reactions and building new patterns.
